Isn't it ironic that all those negative nellies who have come here today and predictably told us all that the buy back announcement is rediculous are the very same people that told us last week that Mr Market is always right.

Given that these people told us this announcement is bad and Mr Market shot the share price up by over 11% today, doesn't this prove you guys categorically wrong about either todays annoucement or mr market aways being right ? Can't have your cake and eat it too.

And for those that say they don't understand why a company would do such a thing, thats the beautiful thing, you don't have to. You failing to understand the strategy doesn't make the strategy any less valid. It just means that CDU won't be calling upon you for advice !

As several posters have already noted for you issuing a buyback notice doesn't mean the company has to buy back any shares. It simply means it has the legal ability to do so. The threat can have as much impact as the action. The signal is clear, stop screwing with our stock.
