MobyT there are a great many manufacturing businesses - not "big" businesses - that have high electricity costs. How does an impost on them reduce carbon emissions when there are no alternative energy sources available at this point in time? Investment in alternatives will take decades so how does this tax achieve a shift to alternative energy?
