Mark, I can only say she literally droned it out over and over again categorically that there would be NO CARBON TAX in her election ads.
Surely Gillard realised the media was keeping her other message quiet, so why didn't she state her real intentions during the ads she made? Why didn't she make her other message just as clear as her NO CARBON TAX message.
And why didn't Swan include the conflicting message when he also stated categorically of "no carbon tax in this term"?
I think because they knew they could have lost the election if people had known of her real carbon tax intentions.
So, which ever way you spin it, it appears to have been a massive deception to the Australian people. IMO, labor clearly have absolutely no mandate from the people to introduce carbon tax in this term.
Oh - and to the other leftie posters - even if the unions or whoever have made the Cate and Caton TV ad, I doubt they did it without Gillard's knowledge. And if Abbott had give his OK to such a deceptive ad, you guys would have swamed all over it in your utter disgust...lol
