What's this small footprint business? If the mn is there in the volume suggested by some, far exceeding the ore body on Groote proper, it'll be no small footprint. And the mining will have environmental ramifications well beyond the holes that are dug. I've yet to hear from anybody on Groote, including rabid pro mining miners; geologists, miining engineers, GEMCO environmental scientists, truck drivers, dozer drivers etc. etc. any sentiment other than that mining will destroy that seascape and that it will be impossible to rehabilitate.

If you visit the SOS facebook pages, for example, you'll find that overwhelmingly members and supporters have links to the mining industry. And while you might be inclined to trot out the GEMCO conspiracy theory, if you do you're just plain wrong. In fact I believe that that whole argument is a complete red herring; more wishing on the part of those holding to it, that ill serves the average Joe share holder attempting to grapple with the real issues.

Re mining and culture: Mining will destroy song lines, the umbilicals to rebirth. Not a palatable point of view for some...but its the argument of the TO's. And I personally believe a total reality.

CBD, I know people have done their dough here, I just think that scapegoating me is looking completely in the wrong direction...not that I mind or feel particularly put out or lose any sleep over it. To to me, for those people, its a pity that this reality check comes after they've done their hard earned. But I'd suggest that fault lies with GOT and the information that wasn't forthcoming when it was at their disposal. I can distinctly remember one of your posts when you were scathing of GOT's performance in the realm of communication and information flow.
