It is common practice for company's to forfeit tenements if they are deemed uneconomic. Part of our Botswana land will have coal that will be either too deep, or too low a quality, for Conti to find the benefit in paying for the ongoing license/permit of this area.
Basically the exploration program this year will find where the good bits are, and we can give the second rate parts of the prospect back to the original land holders. Every company does this. You'd be silly not to. Why pay to hold onto something if you can get better value out of the land adjacent?
