We all need to remember the market component of the Stock Market.

Even with Blue Chips there are buyers whose analysis leads them to believe the stock will rise, and sellers who disagree. There are those looking for a short time frame, and those who hold for the longer term.

It's clear that CCC is in a period of transition, and opinions will vary as to how successful or otherwise this transition will be.

My personal view is that I am prepared to accept the risk, and my timeframe is medium to long term. I previously agreed to meet another poster with a more cautious view back here on March 1 next year to see where things stand, and so far have not found a reason to change my mind.

I realise I could probably be making money in the meantime in alternatives with better short term prospects, but I choose not to

I was not disappointed by today. The market lost something like $33 Billion in value, with the biggest fall for nearly a year, and CCC, like so many others, fell back a touch.

I wonder how much more it may have fallen without today's announcement?

My principal reaction to today's announcement remains a simple question - post consolidation what is the fundamental difference between CCC and AFR, that would justify the latter having the higher share price?
