just on that point Red - the NIST report states in its opening that their report deals ONLY with the INITIATION of the destruction of the WTC towers i.e. the planes colliding with the towers.....
these WTC towers by the way were designed to withstand aircraft collisions as indeed was the Empire State Building hit in 1945:

there were hundreds of massive internal interconnected steel columns in the WTC towers - it was not merely a steel shell as misleadingly portrayed by many media agencies that day - so how could the top floors fall through all that structure at free fall speed unless those steel columns had been previously compromised? The 911 Commission report makes no mention of exlosions in the WTC buildings reported by HUNDREDS of victims of this massacre, and you can hear explosions on many videos recording the disaster at the time..... and not a mention in the 911 Commission Report.
now here's the interesting thing - I mentioned that NIST's report only concerned itself with the INITIATION of the collapse of the towers. When pressed to explain the total collapse of the towers, NIST stated in black and white that it could offer NO EXPLANATION for the total collapse of the towers.
again, contrary to popular belief, NIST does not support the media peddled 'pancake' theory of collapse - it's simply nonsense..... take a look at the videos of the collapse - huge upward spiralling plumes of (not simply broken) but pulverised high grade concrete, which a simple gravitational collapse cannot explain.....
