National productivity is measureable. Let me take you back to my original post. I employ a handful of people as do several others i know in small business. this is what is happening:
1. Fair Work Australia a granted a 3.4% wage increase to low paid workers. 2. because of this I have to reduce wages because I cannot afford any more increases in fact my hourly rate as the employer is less than my staff. 3. small business people like me will go out of business or reduce staff numbers so..as a nation those that are recieveing less or going on unemployment are worse off.
this is the basis of thread i started...nothin to do with CEO wages which I happen to think in some cases is disgusting. Remember this though...the level playing field includes poaching the best CEOs at a competitive price as is the price of banana's from the phillipines which is further putting farmers and process workers out of a job.
the 2nd point to my original thread is that the Union Biased Fair Work Australia Commissioners and Unions and Governments don't get the fact that in the long all these factors will end up lowering Australias standard of living even though we like these little 3.4% increases.
That is the basis of my post ...happy to debate this issue just don't paraphrase me on other issues such as CEO wages and their productivity ( many pigs in the trough there)
