The late Reid Bryson who was considered to be the father of modern climatology once said:

"You can go outside and spit and have the same effect as doubling carbon dioxide".

I have often asked others to search on "father of climatology" and read about Reid. It saddens me to hear of his passing. That he was so involved at an age when others have gone fishin' makes me think I'm on the right side of science.

Whenever I read the above quote wonder if the original wasn't a bit more earthy. I suggest "spit" wasn't exactly what he said.
