So what we have on this topic so far is:

    * Sucked in to the guy that bought a modest ($250000) house for his family and lost his job. Serves himself right. What was he thinking. Should have planned for losing his job.

    * Sucked in to the greedy landlords out there who are now in negative equity and feeling the pinch as housing prices crash. (oh and increasing rent because they can.)

    The posters here must either:

    i) Own their house (or paying the bank the privelege to do so)

ii) or are paying rent to their greedy landlord

So who is it that your hanging crap on. Can't be both. Otherwise some of you are hypocrits.

So who's the winner here. The average guys that's doing everything right. The single home owner or the renter????

Talked to a young bloke today, late 20s, arrived in town 3.5 years ago when the place was booming, RENTED a house, paying $450.00 per week to a greedy landlord property investor, worked long hours, all good.

Now , one year old baby, out of work, no jobs around in Hervey bay, can no longer afford to rent, got kicked out of his place, living in his car with the family.

Sucked in I said, serves yourself right thinking that you could just rent without planning for losing your job. All the guys on Hotcopper also say sucked in to you. Shouldn't have lost your job. Maybe now that you are living in your car, you can drive all the way over to W.A, find a mining job as obviously it's easy to get one and start again. What were you thinking? Maybe you shouldn't have had the child.

    You guys are pathetic...............
