Certainly it might be the nail in the coffin for Tiger in Australia.
As for Qantas, it will be fine. Australian's will always fly Qantas so it will always have a role as the premium Australian carrier.
It may be a tough couple of years until Qantas starts getting its 787s. Boeing has really stuffed the Qantas strategy with its 787 delays.
