    CW - There is no doubt that there will be opportunities for many of us to take advantage of. Agree also anyone with large amounts of equity will not be affected regardless. My point is even for those that are maxed out equity wise and go into negative territory it is still extremely unlikely that the vast majority will be forced to cough up extra equity as most will not have the means to do so and in many cases it will force a foreclosure when the party taking out the loan is meeting their repayment schedule. This will not be in the banks interest to do so even if they may have good reasons for doing so.

    I agree with TS that investors are more likely to be called rather than non investors. Can you imagine the outcry if they did start to foreclose on large numbers of non investors still meeting their payments? In this case a bailout of some kind would clearly be on the cards if push came to shove.
