bones, I guess broker recommendations are only for a small window period. The thing about SIP is that is has been so vastly unpopular, and noone had an interest except the "value funds" (Orbis and such- bottom feeders). Despite this, SIP is now thriving, or so says the SP. It's always the Johnyy Come Latelies, like those of us in the SIP threads, who enjoy the fruits, whereas the old mob have suffered (same with OZL old holders who watched the share fall to pieces). I don't even hold SIP anymore and I'm still a fan. I just can't believe how bullish it's been. I sold and missed the boat. Of course, the boat could have looked quite different to what it is now.
