apparently some of the promises not fulfilled were:
1. the head of each family is given 2 hectares of agricultural land
2. a scholarship of Rp 500 thousand per month for each junior high school student
3. a scholarship of Rp 1 million / month for each high school student
4. provision of a business loan of USD 500 million
5. sihayo were to bear the cost of medicine based on hospital bills.
i am finding it very hard to be believe any legitimacy to protesters concerns over the environmental impact as a result of mining, particularly the fact Sihayo is not doing any mining, never mined any gold, sold any gold or made a profit since they've started ...
