It's very clear from the article, and it was printed in 2006, that the ALC and Gemco are in bed together for various reasons. Gemco has been cited as GOT's competitor. Gemco was Australia's 9th most profitable mine in 2009 - Olympic Dam was 26th. It's important to note that Gemco is jointly owned by BHP & Anglo American. They are both indirectly and directly now funding Grant's organisation which has reaped enormous benefits for the local community.
