    Nobody is prohibiting tobacco, nor making it a criminal act.

    Recognise that it is a critical medical issue for society as a whole. Its costs society billions of dollars and kills 10,000's per year in Australia.

    Tobacco kills over 15,000 Australians a year, more than the combined death toll from road accidents, alcohol, illicit drugs, all homicide, HIV, diabetes, skin cancer - and more.

    Smokers die younger than non smokers, but when they are alive they cost the medical system more than non-smokers
