Steyr + 3GL =heavy and cumbersome when attached to a Steyr, (the whole weapon looks ridiculous with a launcher) bad for CQB), but if it is the weapon issued by ADF and used by standard RAR boys, they will make it work.

M14 and 3Gl = seems to be the same length as normal 203 when attached to main weapon. The whole package seems to sit better. But I would imagine it adds extra weight which is a down side. There would also be the option of changing config of the 3GL load for different tasks. It may sound stupid but if the threat was high you could adjust the rounds loaded in the tube. Yes that would make it a 1GL, 2GL and a 3GL, but it gives options and the SF like options.

It all about how they market the end users. That?s what it?s about, not marketing to the high rankers.

Maul= They already use a shotgun(not Maul) on the M4 & M14 it?s an option built for the system. The Maul would be brilliant for door breaching if it acts exactly like an 870.

It all about who they market to.
