Not sure many of us would want to pay more GST but as you say this would be the "honest way".

Not sure we are dealing in an honest political environment here though...

The fact new government departments will be created to administer the tax is very frustrating to me as well. What an inefficient waste.

I like what you say about funding R&D directly though - this makes so much more sense.
