Hi Hector.

Regarding your ealier post and reference to DM - are you refering to Diabetic Macular Edema (part of the Eye Disease applications)? Regarding this application - (another great story) , the preclinicals started around 2007 with the 1st update on 27/9/2007. NOW looking at the Nomura Singapore conference (page 10), the pre-clinicals have been completed and it appears that the application is moving towards Phase II.

The above DM application is seperate to the Type 2 Diabetes application (The Big D) with the only pre-clinical ASX announcement made on 18 December 2009.The original trials were on 35 mice (see RBS Equities analysis @ the time). Even though only on mice, the results were exciting as (I understand) current treatments do not replace damaged cells but rather manage blood sugar levels(insulin injections etc)

Since then via Mesoblasts Annual and Half yearly Reporting ( in the directors report section - most recent 28/2/11 Page 3 under "Diabetes Product"), MSB have reported that they have extended there pre-clinical trials to studies in non-human primates (monkeys).

Since then there has been no other update other than April / May 11 Bioshares and Nomura analyst reports telling us that one of the major milestomes ahead are the primate studies in Diabetes.

The only other hint that we have on the the Diabetes trials (IMO only) was as per page 14 of the Nomura Singapore conference.
