and this is it - varbatim

According to St. Malachi's prophecy, from 850 yrs ago, there would only be 111 popes following Pope Celestine II, who died in 1146 AD. John Paul II is the 110th pope after Celestine II. The prophecy claims that the next and final pope would rule from Rome during the Tribulation. We should make sure that we are ready for the coming if Jesus Christ.

have no fear, this will simp[ly be another prophesy, which will come and go - plenty of time for you, your children and grandchildren etc etc, to plan holidays for the next thousand or so years.

i seem to recall, that even jc, made claims that he would return, when some of those at the time would still be alive. ah i forget exactly - and right now, i cannot be bothered to look it up - but it probably starts along the lines of "verily i say unto thee ........ etc . mmmm.... gee, what a wonderful thing this online concordance is, i did look it up, and this is it

"Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you , There be some standing here , which shall not taste of death , till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom ."

of course, all those who were standing there at the time, eventually croaked (ie DEAD - dust to dust - ashes to ashes), and never saw the son of man come to his kingdom

now if jc got it wrong - then don't even waste your time, wondering if this st malachi might get it right. best to simply accept that this is all a great con job, and simply get on with your life
