I made the previous post without reading the entire thread.
Some interesting ideas and counter ideas.
It does appear the religious appear to think that non religious people can not have a conscience.
Guilt and empathy are inate in us advanced "apes" and yes, there are aberrations and some hideous results.
Some of those hideous came from the "church" as well as elsewhere.
I was born again Christian for a short time and was a wonderful period of my life. Best was the music but also the fellowship of others.
In the end I could no longer reject the irrationality of it all and was a distressing period for me as I lost friends etc.
I actually fasted for 30 days with no food and just water to drink as I fasted and prayed.
That sounds stupid but signifies that my final decision was not made lightly.
So I may be wrong but at least my decision wasn't taken lightly.
PS. You lose 1 pound a day in weight if you don't eat, lol. 30 days, 30 lbs.
