I also think they're probably undervalued at the moment, but I don't think that's good enough. I want to be able to work out what assets are behind my shareholding and it worries me when I can't, and when I can't get a response from the company. Case in point there's a $143m dollar difference ($30m cash, $113m investment properties) between Pete's estimate of 14 June and today.
I'm not fussed if they consolidate their accounts, and I think they have to for controlled subsidiaries - as long as they provide a breakdown which indicates assets of each entity pre-consolidation. It's not helpful to have single line items for consolidated figures in UOS accounts, and maybe I'm missing something, but I can't see any listing documents or financial statements on Bursa Malaysia - only price info.
I suspect we're on the right track with assets, but if we're not it's a massive difference as you can basically take it off the value of UOS and bundle it up in the already market determined value of UOADEV.
Also, minor point but I'm pretty sure UOADEV listing info stated that it was their intention to pay between 30% and 50% of net operating profit as dividends.
