Abbott's approval ratings are rising while Gillard's are falling and she has taken labor's primary vote to the lowest on record - so are you also saying that Gillard shouldn't be Prime Minister? Now that would make more sense.
And, don't forget that Abbott went to the election with a no carbon tax promise. What's wrong with him maintaining his position on that for now?
If the plebiscite really showed strong support for a carbon tax, I image labor would win the next election with a majority and it wouldn't be of concern to Abbott.
But no prizes for guessing why Gillard doesn't want the people to have a say...
