    Thanks Miita,

Sometime back one of the posters, when BTA had gapped up from about $1-60 to above $2-00, indicated that the "gap up" would ultimately need to be filled (posting whta we thought at the time was negative sentiment).

BTA rose to $3-40 before it headed down - and ultimately it dropped quickly through the gap below $2-00, before reaching $0-86 low and settling at $0-95 to $1-00 range for an extended period.

The Barda grant led to a gap up from $1-00 to $1-66.

The gap up has now been filled on the way down - and hopefully the share price can now consolidate.

What is the theory/explanation behind the concept of gap-filling?

I assume that the gaps on the way dowm also get filled on the way back up?

Biota could only be described as a stock with plenty of gaps! As sentiment surges and then collapses. Ideal for computerised trading to act as an accelerant!

The good news is that the "gap has now been filled" and hopefully we can look forward to an improvement in share price.

On a related issue I think it was you that has indicated in the past that the excess volume bought on spikes has to be sold off before a further rise is likely? Have we achieved this yet? I suspect so.

    Regards
