    Hi Martie;

    In the announcement, mgt have said that they are testing the hypothesis that BC is a 'Cobar style' poly metallic mineralized pipes or lenses that typically have a slender lens shape, are steeply plunging and dipping, and tend to have significant and considerable vertical continuity.

    They note the similartity to the CSA mine which has a 'short strike' length (3-30m) but continuity in excess of 1km.

    So you are right, this needs to go down deep to stack up as the strike will remain relatively short.

    Chrs Pete

    From the results:

    'The results to date support the theory that the copper mineralisation at Blind Calf is similar to the ?Cobar style‟ poly metallic mineralized pipes or lenses that typically have a slender lens shape, are steeply plunging and dipping, and tend to have significant and considerable vertical continuity.

    Examples of these types of ore bodies are the CSA Mine (owned by Glencore International AG) which is situated 140 km north west from Blind Calf along the same Gilmore Suture fault as well as YTC Resources Nymagee and Hera deposits, 75 km north west from Blind Calf. Since being discovered, the CSA mine has produced in excess of 800,000 tonnes of copper metal.

    Kidman notes the similarity of the Blind Calf results to date with the geological features of the CSA deposits including the relatively short strike length but large plunge extent of ore bodies which vary in width from about 3 to 30 metres. In CSA‟s case, in terms of vertical extent, some lenses can be traced for over 1 kilometre.'
