Hopefully the coming news can ease a few of my concerns.
A 5x speed winder needs to be able to be fed. How many stopes will we be operating from? How many airleg teams do we have? How many tons a day can be presented to the plats for loading?
10t/hour through the plant, 16 hours a day, 5 days a week gives 800t. 50weeks x 800t gives 40000t. How do we get to 80000t/annum?
Anyone who went down to Maxwells on the presentation day would surely be thinking- can they pull 100t+ a day from Maxwells. Pretty confined space and a relatively flat reef needing a scraper to advance the ore to the plat.
The other stopes I remember are a fair way from the shaft necessitating rail haulage to the shaft. Where are we at regarding rail being available. I know they had tracks stockpiled and the last I heard engines were being modified but that was many months ago.
Still many, many hurdles to be cleared before I can see consistent production at the required tonnages.
Glad the new bloke is experienced in narow vein mining as clear direction needs to be given to the market addressing the points above and a few more as well.
Sorry folks, I still hold but think goals are further away than many recognise.
