not so sure about "global warming". 25 years ago the mainstream opinion was different from today. It changes as the interest of big industries are changing too.
I do believe in new technologies. REEs are important for future tech, no doubt. I simply don't approve processing plants in highly populated areas. The risks are simply too high IMO.
Lynas claims there are no risks. Same blabla like in Bukit Merah, Fukushima and many other industrial facilities that work with radioactive materials.
Fact is: Underestimating the possibilities of radioactive exposure to the public has cost many lives. Too many IMO
