On these threads we've discussed the song line equation over and again...

But a summary: Song Lines are intangible to the Mainstream, not so the Groote Eylandters. However when Native Title determinations are made, for example, Song Lines are treated as if they are concrete entities. Additionally the concrete manifestations of the journeys of totemic beings are sacred sites and sites of significance. If GOT proceeded they would already have to recognise exclusion zones defined by registered sacred sites.

I've never suggested that the fall in the SP is due to my efforts here. In fact I've rebutted that as ridiculous when posters have suggested that my efforts here have caused the SP to fall. However negative publicity for GOT either generated by TO opposition, or indeed self generated by the comapny, appears to to be correlated to SP dips.

I'm in my sixties and maybe I've got twenty years left. I don't think seabed mining on GOT's tenements will occur in my life time, and I think that primarily the impediment will be environmental rather than cultural...and also the fact that seabed mining of mn simply won't compete commercially with land based mining in the short to medium term.

The $ argument has been covered here ad nauseum as well. The TO's here in my opinion will not agree to accomodate GOT's ambitions at any price.

Yilyanga...shovel nosed shark, yes...to my knowledge shovel nosed sharks have never mined for mn. And "Dillinja"... a corruption of an old bank robber's handle isn't it?
