This is a long post with just the ramblings of an middle aged man, it offers no new content so for those of you looking for valuable information, save yourself the time and read no further.

    Chris,
I do see the logic of stop losses, however whilst I understand they are a safety net for some investors, I also see how a clever trader, be him big or small, can quite easily trigger its activation by simply selling a few shares, which in turn starts a chain reaction amongst the nervous nellies, hence triggering further stop losses only to end up with what I believe to be the scenario we observed yesterday.
I don't use them because I only put money on the sharemarket that I can afford to lose. It is my pocket money so to speak, well money that the department of War, Income, Finance and Excitement doesn't mind losing. (For those confused have a look at the Capital letters)
I do my research to the point whereby I am happy to put money in, with the understanding that AYR may go up and may go down in the short term but the price I paid for it(6 cents) was an entry price that I will look back in the long term and think how lucky I was.
Hence, I beleive the long term outlook is positive for AYR and many other shares on the market thanks to the hangover we are currently experiencing from the GFC. Although I got hurt by the GFC like many of us, I took the approach that it did and continues to provide a terrific opportunity to pick up some bargains, AYR being such a bargain. The reason I believe it is such a bargain is that before the GFC, this company would not have been priced where it is currently, it would have been somewhat higher.

Anyway, heres to our speculation of who is selling and who is buying and why they are doing so. It does not impact on my decision as to why I entered in the first place, I like Gold, I like our neighbours, I like the amount of shares on the market and most of all I love our price at the moment, time to buy some more. The GFC hangover wont last forever and with 40 years still left on my clock I am in no hurry.

Happy investing all and keep an eye on this share today.

    Kind regards,

    Banksy
