In my opinion GOT really do need to repair damage done to their reputation...probably most acutely in their, in my opinion, very iffy acquisition which was met by a scornful reponse in the Financial Review. So maybe asf it might be about reputation management.
If the name change is seen as being "progressive", and a nod to the sensibilities of the Groote Eylandters, in my opinion it's got Buckley's of making any difference whatsoever to the TO's attitudes. They have long memories, and could even be described as having "revenge" and "payback" operating as an art form in their culture.
asf, I bow to your opinion here though...all I know is that from what I've heard GOT appear to be seeking a "new start" in developing some sort of relationship with the TO's. And in that I'm also of the opinion they've got Buckley's as well.
