As I've already stated I'm not I betting man by nature, but I'd borrow money from the bank, sell all my worldy possessions and cash my super in and place it all on these three predictions:
1. There'll be no raproachment between the TO's and GOT. 2. The Blue Mud Bay EL's won't be granted. 3. Gemco won't be buying out GOT
There's no rabbit to be pulled out of a hat here. If GOT wish to forward their so called Groote Project they're going to have to slog through due process and confront the cultural and environmental stake holders, either head on or via consultation and negotiation. It's about identifying and understanding the hurdles and challenges followed by some hard work and a bit of elbow grease, not magic tricks, or hype...although it does appear that some people are prepared to part with their hard earned by valuing style over substance.
And in my opinion their first step is to invest in some cross-cultural awareness training focussing specifically on the Ceremonial Cultures of the NW Gulf.
And in terms of the environmental challenges: whatever happened to the much vaunted Marine Survey? I've seen no summary of that process published anywhere to date. Wasn't that supposed to be another investment of SH's bucks in value adding to the company?
