That's just hit a brick wall in WA. It seems some people are over staying their visit in car parks, especially beach ones, due to the showers and toilet ammenities. The current fine is $100 and the councils want to increase it massively and be able to clamp/confiscate vehicles. I can see their point but it will unfortunately harm the 'innocent bystanders'. Imagine you've been driving for hours and decide to have a rest for a few hours to avoid fatigue and happen to pull up just when the rangers are in stealth mode. You get blanketed in the same category as someone who has been literally camping there for days.
