goldmick.
apologies to anyone who is not wanting to read about NAV, but as an answer to the above message then its justified i hope, also as a microcosm of the junior gold miner/explorers.. its possibly a strategic point of view not considered by some.
so as to NAV
i am not sure about you (GOLDMICK), but i have been in and out of NAV a few times, this time i am happy to pick up shares, i see the scare mongering is to pick up more cheap shares to increase the entitlement, the underwriters are buying in and if my gut feeling is right, they are going to get the benefit of a falling aussie $ a flying gold price and to sell the oppies at a low level to ensure a full participation, when the management are expecting a severe falling SP anyway, is there to protect investors... namely them as they are buying in big they are future proofing their own investment. no good the directors buying at say 8c when they foresee a tumble across the market of 50%, so buy em cheap, let the current holders panic, let mates soak up the extras, they get the cheap buy in on the offer. and all good. in my opinion there are games being played by a lot of people positioning for a gold rally. as said before, if you buy in during the heat of the storm, then its a bloody good investment to get a company with an asset in the ground that could double the companies worth. remember gold is not prone to transportation problems like bulk ores, its dig it, crush it process it and them reap the rewards.
I am totally not convinced NAV management are the bunch of amateurs they are being painted as on their thread..
Gold bullion will fly for sure to $2000+ but that's only a 33% lift. a Goldie with an asset and with production capability will find the increase value of the bars, will increase their profitability by more than 100%.. no brainer for me.
for example/ current POG $1550.
cost of digging and production $800 to $1000 = %550 profit
now POG $2000 cost still the same, possibly less as wages and fuel costs fall, means the profit margin is $1000 approx/oz
using NAV as an example. they have apporx 300,000 of prove resource, the plant to process it which is mobile. ( some think the mountain always has to come to Mohamed, but sometimes Mohamed can go to the mountain if the ( excuse the pun)'Profit' is sufficient.
thats my take on things in the goldies anyway. feel free to rip it apart i am only an amateur
