after thinking about it more i agree with CGT. Results should be disclosed.

What this is about is the wording of the announcement. They could of got a positive spin out of this but chose the negative one. No one even knew DS was conducting this prevention trial.

70% was the aim and we got 45 % still darn good for a trial with so much bias possible in it. Many household could of been vaccinated or clean freaks etc. Still nearly half the people didn't get the flu which was way higher than the placebo group.

BTA have confirmed these finding were a non event and now DS are already funding another preventive trial with different parameters to get the results they require. They wouldn't do this unless they know it will work.

Please BTA get it right next time and learn from this.
