    "The announcement mentions that check fire assay procedures are in place"
    That is correct - but no fire assays have been reported that I have seen - and yesterdays announcement does not say any fire assays have been carried out.
    I note the Intertek website;
    http://www.genalysis.com.au/analytical/
    says; "Precious metals are best analysed by fire assay..."

    HappyCats - you go on to say - "...it can be pretty much ruled out that the lower than expected gold grades are due to incomplete leaching with BLEG."
    Can I suggest that is a premature call - until we see fire assays published.
    I maintain my view that BLEG was a poor choice of method to assay sulphide bearing core with known gold (Italian assays) from a little know prospect where there is no detailed info about mineralogy and exactly how the gold occurs.
    I also note that in the 10 May announcement on page 6 - point 3) talking about the BLEG samples they say - "The tails of samples reporting >1gmAu/t are to be fire assayed for comparison."
    Now in the announcement 27 June on page 6 point 3. I see they say "The tails of samples reporting >0.5g/t Au are to be fire assayed for comparison."
    That is a big change in their thinking - looks to me like the scales are falling from somebodies eyes about BLEG.
    If I were running the show I would urgently get a trusted person to obtain sample splits from Ghana and get them to a different Australian lab.
    The fat lady is yet to sing on this one.
