Here are some comparison charts of a few stocks that have just been mentioned Vs XJO S&P ASX 200
As you can see Exco has faired very well.
There is a saying that "all ships rise and fall with the tide", this can also be thought of within the stockmarket, when you compare the parent index to the individual stocks within it (I know that Exco isnt in the XJO & is in the XAO (All Ords), but my charting package only has the XJO, and they are very similar).
The parent index will drag the individual stock up and down with it, when it moves.
Stocks that outperform the parent during a downturn are also known to further outperform the parent when the market turns bullish after a bear run, weather this will be the case with Exco remains to be seen.
EXS Vs XJO
IVA Vs XJO
CDU Vs XJO
