Whilst Moelis have acquired a stake in CDU ,it is not a substantial one . I am however interested to see if they continue with their buying.
CDU with Oceanwide on board and possibly increasing their stake into the future, the likelihood of a takeover has deminished unless it were one helleva good one to unlock long term investors of which our family is one.
Anything is possible however and I do not rule out the action you postulated but ,in my opinion , it is a remote one.
I think it is more from an investment angle. These guys pride themselves on making sound investments.
