The IAEA officials werer only there for a week. If it was bad I think they would have been there alot longer,
The AELB in Malaysia has been working very very closely with LYC on this and they would have anticipated such an inspection. they all knew about the tin mine operation and that is why they allowed it to go ahead in the first instance. I am sure LYC knew as well.
From reports I have sen Tin tailngs all over malaysia have a thorium content of about 5%. the Thorium content in Mt Weld ore is about 0.015%.
There will be slight modifications required to apease the protest lobby but these should not be too much of a worry.
