Something doesn't add up for me. I'm pretty sure Copulous got Evans in as Chairman (based on their previous relationships which I outlined in an earlier post).

I sat next to Copulous at the 2009 AGM and he was vehemently opposed to Consolidation. Muttering it was a bad idea and never worked out.

So if Evans is his man, then what is going on? Perhaps Evans will be a very short-lived Chairman?

The timing of the announcement is also curious - 2 days before EOFY. Maybe they want to shake all the last-minute sellers out, and sell the Profitability story in the new Financial Year, taking focus away from dismal Revenues. Or perhaps they think they have some decent announcements up their sleeve to protect the post-consolidation share price. Perhaps they feel that by selling the profitability and stemming the bleeding on cost, they can hold the share price at the current price.

Lots of damn 'perhaps' in there I know....!

Remember that Bob Gestro has a few hundred million reasons to keep the shareprice high, so he must be bleeding as well.
