I agree with you that the carbon tax is a major issue along with the Greens getting alot of television anti coal air time, however today being a case in point , where other coal stocks have rebounded, and COK will as i type this , be lucky to break even on the day. There seems to be something about this company that does not move with the main stream coal stocks .The only thing getting this up to anywhere near 50 cents is a takeover , and that as you once said is not probable , due to the shareholder ownership structure.
