yes good post Barney the very big differance between the west and the east
the West middle class was living well beyond their incomes the East was living on couple dollars a day -

the West spent- the East saved

the West has grown fatter lazyer stupider-the East smarter ,more tech savy

Now both may well have problem debts an the fiat tenders of exchange will likely collaspe worldwide and have to be re-set but who will come out better...

the West that expect handouts aid bigger government
or the East where they have lived for hundreds of years on little

I really think Russia,India,China will do better than the US,UK,Euro from past-present-future living standards
