I have to disagree, I don't share the optimism on Warren's departure. I thought it was unexpected, I was guessing his involvement of James Scovell as a sign of actively defending his interests in the boardroom. When he resigned from day-to-day management early in the year they indicated quite clearly he was staying on as a consultant. Todays wishing him well on "future projects" indicates to me he's heading off into the sunset, not hanging about in the shed. Given his shareholdings, I can't see why he would want to give up his directorship. Surely he could have kept someone on as an alternate if it really were too onerous to involve himself directly. Also given that it is necessary to make adjustments to the GT3000 for the Whitcher project I reckon the risks must be higher if the inventor is not involved in those adjustments and or at least until the rig is proven at depth in the field. So for me, it's a negative for me that he's heading off, regardless of the reason why. However if he is staying on in some capacity, it would serve the company well to announce the terms of his ongoing consulting role, otherwise it's fair to assume he's out of there.
