We are only talking about sand with miniscule traces of thorium in it. The normal disposal method is to mix it with normal sand and disperse it. Lynas has proposed a number of other ways of dealing with it. eg integrate it into masonry products, build artificial reefs out of it, etc. But if the Malaysians just don't want it then just tip it onto a barge and dump it in the middle of the ocean. No one can complain about that. The whole thing is a storm in a teacup.
