Forget the convoluted conspiracy theories.
Maybe the organization changes are working and PaperlinX is actually turning around its business. After all, the MD has recently stated (18 May) that solvency & liquidity are not issues.
Maybe there is a simple takeover afoot & note-holders will be dealt with fairly.
If there isn't a takeover afoot, distributions will continue to be paid for reputational reasons; and cannot be thwarted by banks as there are NO interest rate covenants on borrowings - FACT.
Contrary to popular misconceptions, the global paper industry isn't dead - check out the chart $DJUSPP which is the Dow Jones US Paper Index. The global leader in paper & packaging (IP) seems to be doing OK too.
Why make things complicated? Anyway; what is, is. Nothing will change between now and Tuesday.
