In regards to adults it is an issue.
from personal experience seeing the side effects of peer pressure, it is not very nice.
I have had to step in and instigate changes to online accounts and access due to the baiting, lies, slander and then the individuals suffering from those effects.
In particular one was put on watch. So no matter the level some doe suffer due to their inability see to the truth or should I say take to heart the actions of others.
