Good discussion. I have never been involved in a company thats been taken over, though I know its really basic stuff and most people who have invested in the market for years are old hats at this.

Im not sure of the likelihood or not but I like to keep my eyes open. I think Bones as you and I(and no doubt many others) think the SP is a bargain at his price, this very reason could attract a predator. Im not saying it will or that I want it to but what I or you want is besides the point if someone were to make an offer attractive to more than 50 percent of the shareholders.

I just missed out on getting a deli once. It is actually one of the old beach kiosks. It was badly run, had huge potential, relatively low costs and I could see many different ways I could make money out of it that were not being pursued. Some one else saw the potential there and beat me to it getting it for a song.

The moral to this story is that businesses are attractive when they are cheap or undervalued. Like everthing. If we with our relatively poor understanding of drilling and how the industry works( speaking for myself here in all humility and probobly a few others), think CKK has enormous potential and we are correct then dont you think some of the expert big players in this industry have one eye fixed on CKK. I dont know this but worth considering.

I agree I dont think 17c would crack it by a long shot. But i think if someone broke out the chequebook now it may happen well shy of 50c. As we all know in life what we want and what we get are two different things.

But this is all just speculation as it probobly wont happen, or wont happen now. But a very good converstion to have Lee.

    Cheers Tretch
