Pesticides, preservatives and processed food products approved by world government regulatory bodies now equate for Cancer related deaths in up to 22.8% of the worlds population - sorry cant remember the source to quote.
If this is true, then the population who have access and interest in this information will be highly motivated to acquire a source of "clean" foods.
Maybe it will not only be the Chinese who are spending 50% of their income on food.
Small scale Gardening and community farming groups are likely to become more popular.
Incidentally, I dont think the world would be over populated even at this level, if the resources had of been invested differently.
