    "the ultimate price is all about earnings in 2012"

    The value is the PV of all estimable future earnings, not just 2012. If people keep sprouting this sort of stuff it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy and everyone extrapolates one year's earnings, or even a quarter's, into perpetuity, which is ridiculous. That's what brokers do.
