My son ( 3 years ) currently attends in the 3-6 year old class 5 days a week from 9am to 12 noon. He seems to really enjoy it and looks forward to going each day. He started last term and will see the year out there. At this stage we have decided to enrol him in a normal school from next year in kindy. The main reason for this is that private schools are very difficult to get into and if you don't get your foot in the door early you can easily miss the boat.Example,if we decided to pull him out of Montessori for what ever reason at equivalent to year 3 we would find it almost impossible to get him into a school of our choice at that stage.Another reason is now our youngest ( 15 months ) is now guaranteed 1 of 30 positions at the school my eldest was accepted into. The last reason was cost, Montessori costs per term what his new school will cost per year.I know cost isnt everything but with our current financial situation having both children attending Montessori would be stretching it.Please note I have nothing against Montessori, far from it. Just thought I would share a few things worth considering.

    Cheers.
