Having been a foreman on a jury in a long drug trial in Australia, I can say that she would not be convicted here. The connection between her and the drugs is not strong enough to persuade an Australian jury and I know of a Melbourne barrister that would defend and get her off the charge without any effort. I do not know if the customs officials were cross examined but it would be interesting to read a court report if they were.
